Full Job Description

Working in an expanding team you will play a vital role in managing delivery of strategic natural flood management and shaping the Council's blue green infrastructure strategies and policies as part of the £8m capital grant funded Project Sponge as part of the Defra £200 million Flood and Coastal Innovation Programme (FCIP). You will also lead on the flood and enforcement responsibilities of the Council as Lead Local Flood Authority. The post will require a person with experience in developing, delivering and managing nature-based solution schemes, and whom can maintain effective stakeholder co-ordination, liaison and partnership working. A high degree of flexibility, creativity and a positive forward-thinking attitude is required. We have an ambitious project vision to improve resilience to flooding by placing people and nature at the heart of solutions in the Salt Hill and Chalvey Ditches river catchments. You will need excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and communicate effectively at all levels, be self-motivated, willing to learn and the ability to manage workloads.
