Join us and make a significant impact on our Medical Physics service and the quality of care we provide., Key Responsibilities:- Lead and develop our Medical Physics service, working closely with the Consultant Clinical Scientist and other key colleagues.- Ensure adherence to radiation safety regulations and provide expert advice on radiation protection.- Collaborate with Clinical Radiology to utilise specialist diagnostic imaging equipment across main and peripheral sites.- Play a crucial role in shaping a robust medical physics team, appointing key roles, and fostering professional support within regional networks.

Are you a dynamic and innovative Medical Physicist ready to take on a senior leadership role?

Our hospital is seeking an enthusiastic Lead Medical Physicist to head and enhance our Medical Physics service. Your expertise will ensure compliance with radiation safety legislation and uphold the highest standards of care for both patients and staff. In this pivotal position, you will serve as the Medical Physics Expert (MPE) for diagnostic radiology and as our Radiation Protection Adviser (RPA). If you are not registered for either but have a suitable level of previous experience, we would welcome your application but please include details of how you would be in a position to apply for MPE and RPA within the year. Here, you will be given the opportunity and support to develop into and apply for registration into those positions but your appointment may be at Band 8a fixed-term for 12 months or until registrations.
