Are you a highly motivated senior Occupational Therapist wanting to develop your leadership skills? Are you looking for a new challenge for 2025?, The post holder will be responsible for the operational management and professional leadership of the Older Persons Mental Health Occupational Therapy Service across Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board. The Principal Occupational Therapist is also the Project Lead for our OT Memory Assessment Service.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and innovative Occupational Therapist to lead and develop the Older Persons Mental Health Occupational Therapy Service across Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board. This post provides a unique opportunity for an Occupational Therapist with significant experience of working within mental health, frailty or, primary care and community services. It is also an opportunity for any senior Occupational Therapist with significant experience of managing teams and leading and developing services, who has an interest in Older Adult Mental Health issues and Dementia. The post holder will work collaboratively with colleagues across the region in the co-design of new services, as well as ensuring the delivery of an evidence-based, high quality and efficient service.
We are an innovative team, developing new ways of working to meet increasing demands and this post will be a part of this exciting transformation. The successful candidate must demonstrate the ability to work flexibly and creatively in both the leadership and clinical aspects of the role., This role is categorised as 'Welsh Desirable' in Speaking/Listening meaning that whilst the candidate doesn't need to have skills in Welsh, we'll consider it an advantage when short-listing candidates. Level 3 in Speaking/Listening means being able to hold a conversation in Welsh about everyday things and every day work matters. It isn't about being 'fluent' or writing long reports in Welsh. Just everyday, conversational Welsh so that you can talk to patients in Welsh and English.
