You will be a key part of our team, supporting and leading a wide range of consultancy projects, small and large, for a variety of customers across the nuclear industry, including new build projects, SMR and AMRs, existing civil and defence plant, fusion reactor design and decommissioning.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Advising on and developing advanced computer-based models, including radiation models

  • Overseeing as well as performing complex calculations, including for shielding and criticality and other applications

  • Assessment of handling, movement, and transportation of radioactive materials

  • Providing technical leadership and guidance in the assessment of complex problems and developing associated solutions

  • Production of high-quality, complex, technical documents

  • Establishing and maintaining client relationships, developing new opportunities for yourself and the team

  • Here's what you'll need:

    Essential
  • Degree in any relevant numerate scientific or engineering discipline

  • Extensive experience with an established reputation in the nuclear industry, including radiation physics and radiation transport modelling, with experience of shielding and/or criticality applications.

  • The ability to write well-structured reports that present clear argument with a sound basis for recommendations.

  • Track record in building strong relationships with clients and colleagues.

  • Desirable
  • Higher degree in relevant discipline (Masters / PhD)

  • Established, internationally recognised, expertise in relevant technical fields.

  • Experience in programming, digital design/analysis and simulation.
