Full Job Description

Toprovideleadership, supervision and support to Psychological Therapists in the Intensive Community Support Team. Tocontributetoensuringthesystematicprovisionofahigh-qualitypsychological assessment and treatmenttoclientsandtheirfamiliesandassociates.Tooffertraining,supervision, consultation,adviceandguidanceontheprovisionofpsychologicalcaretonon-psychologist colleaguesandotherclinicalmembersoftheteam,andtoothernon-professionalcarers,whoprovidepsychologically-basedassessment,careandtreatment.Toworkautonomouslywithinprofessionalguidelinesandexercise responsibilityforthesystematicgovernanceofpsychologicalpracticewithintheservices/teams.

  • Toprovidespecialistpsychologicalassessmentstoclientsreferredtothe Intensive Community Support Teambasedupontheappropriateuse,interpretationandintegrationofcomplexpsychologicaldatafrom avarietyofsourcesincludingpsychologicaland neuropsychologicaltests,self-reportmeasures,ratingscales,directandindirectstructuredobservationsandsemi-structuredinterviewswith clients,familymembersandothersinvolvedintheclient'scare.
  • Toprovide assessment reportsformulateandimplementplansfortheformalpsychologicaltreatmentand/ormanagementofa client'scognitive andmentalhealthproblems,baseduponanappropriateconceptualframeworkofthe client'sproblems,andemployingmethodsofprovenefficacy,acrossthefullrangeofcaresettings.
  • Toberesponsibleforimplementingarangeofpsychologicalinterventionsforindividuals, carers,familiesandgroups,withinandacrossteamsemployedindividuallyandinsynthesis,adjustingandrefiningpsychologicalformulationsdrawingupondifferentexplanatorymodelsandmaintaining anumberofprovisionalhypotheses in the context of dementia assessment and treatment.
  • Toevaluateandmakedecisionsabouttreatmentoptionstakingintoaccountboththeoreticalandtherapeuticmodelsandhighlycomplexfactorsconcerninghistoricalanddevelopmentalprocessesthathaveshapedtheindividual,familyorgroup.
