Full Job Description

This post can be stand-alone at 0.4 WTE (2 days) or there may be other trust posts that could be combined with this role, subject to usual recruitment processes. Are you an experienced CBT for psychosis therapist, supervisor, and trainer, interested in how technology can improve access, experience, and outcomes? This is an exciting opportunity to be a Clinical Implementation Lead for a new Wellcome funded study. SlowMo is a class I UKCA marked digitally supported therapy for psychosis. It works by targeting fast-thinking habits associated with paranoia and supports people to slow down their thinking to find ways of feeling safer. In our large, multi-centre RCT, SlowMo was efficacious, highly engaging and deliverable, with improvements in paranoia, worry, self-concept, quality of life and wellbeing. SlowMo2 will investigate if these benefits translate to real world settings, in an observational study of implementation, effectiveness, and cost-effectiveness. This unique post will support implementation of SlowMo2 in SPFT, alongside a friendly, supportive interdisciplinary team., You will:

  • Train an initial cohort of trust therapists in SlowMo, supported by the project leads, in a train the trainer model.
  • Provide consultation and supervision of therapists delivering SlowMo, including Clinical Psychologists and newer roles (e.g. APs, CAPs, MHWPs).
  • Promote therapist adoption of SlowMo in routine care with the aim to deliver 50 therapy cases by December 2025.
  • Liaise with project leads, software developers and local IT to help maintain the performance and safety of the SlowMo software, in line with the UKCA mark.
  • Supervise site Assistant Psychologists to support data collection to high standards, in line with study protocols, in liaison with the Study Coordinator.
  • Oversee reporting and transfer of research data to project leads, in line with research governance.
  • Liaise with R&D regarding ethical amendments and recruitment.
  • Collaborate with project and site implementation leads to develop an automated training package and implementation logic model, as study outputs.
