Full Job Description

We are looking for aBand 8b Principal Psychologist to cover maternity leave in the National Centre for Gaming Disorders for a period of 9 months from January 2025. The successful applicant will be required to work on Thursday and one other day (ideally Wednesday) every week. The National Centre for Gaming Disorders is a highly innovative, cutting-edge service within CNWL's Addictions Directorate. The small team of psychologists, psychiatrists and family therapists is lively and engaged, providing assessment and treatment to people aged 13 and up and their families. You will provide senior leadership and ensure the smooth running of the service.,

  • Providing psychological treatment (both group and individual) to gamers and their family members
  • Supervising staff including qualified, trainee and assistant psychologists
  • Facilitating MDT meetings
  • Ensuring the smooth running of the service alongside the Service Manager
  • Liaising with other professionals involved in clients' care
  • Running workshops

    The Addictions Directorate within CNWL Foundation Trust is a large, well-established provider which offers a wide range of specialist NHS drug, alcohol and behavioural treatment interventions to the diverse and multicultural populations in Central and North West London. Our drug and alcohol services include community services, A&E liaison services, Stop Smoking Services, Peripatetic nurses, Family Therapy, the National Centre for Behavioural Addictions and the Club Drug Clinic.
