Full Job Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic Principal Clinical or Counselling psychologist to join our well respected and exciting Inpatient and Acute Psychology Service. The team are at the forefront of national developments in inpatient and acute working. We are also actively involved in research and keen to recruit people who share that vision of contributing to best practice, national guidelines and an evidence base.
The post holder will join a well-established psychology service for people in crisis and will work as an integral member of our Crisis Provision including the ICAH 24 / 7 hub and the newly commissioned Crisis House. The role will involve creative and thoughtful input including offering consultation, training, clinical leadership, supervision and ensuring a high quality service is provided to people in crisis. The role will involve working with a persons support system and carers. It will also involve working closely with third sector partners at place, working together to ensure the persons experience of crisis support is of a high quality.

Probationary Period
This post will be subject to a probationary period. Internal applicants are exempt from the probationary period (unless you are an internal applicant currently part way through a probationary period or currently a bank member of staff).
High-Cost Area Supplement
This post also attracts payment for High-Cost Area Supplement of 15% of the basic salary (minimum payment of £4,551 and a maximum payment of £5,735) (pro rata for part time staff).
