Full Job Description

  • Histotechnology: Perform routine histotechnology including biopsy processing, microtomy, histochemical staining and slide scanning to QC and prepare samples for downstream spatial or SC analysis.
  • Single-cell processing: Process various matrices for single-cell/nuclei analysis, using the Chromium X and Next Generation Sequencing.
  • Spatial-omics: Use spatial-omic platforms, including Xenium and Visium. Perform spatial data analysis using off-the-shelf analysis workflows.
  • Lab Compliance: Compile QC reports and write standard operating procedures, analytical methods, and protocols and record data in-line with GCP lab standards.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with multidisciplinary teams including Translational Research, Translational Sciences, Precision Medicine, HBSM, and Pathology. Provide guidance on assay platforms and capabilities. Adjust priorities as needed to meet required deadlines.
  • Professional Development: Provide necessary training and help troubleshoot issues within the team.   • Master's degree in biological sciences or a relevant scientific field (e.g., immunology, molecular biology, cancer biology, neurobiology, genomics).
  • Possess a broad knowledge of histotechnology and spatial-omics to help guide teams towards the best-suited platforms and high-plex assays for their needs.
  • Skilled in routine histology (biopsy processing, microtomy, histochemical staining and slide scanning).
  • Experienced in processing various tissues for single-cell/nuclei analysis, and familiar with using the Chromium X.
  • Experienced in working with spatial-omic platforms Visium and Xenium, including the design, implementation and troubleshooting of spatial-omics experiments.
  • Team player familiar with working in a matrixed environment, on multiple projects, and be able to and meet strict deadlines. Strong attention to detail, experimental execution and record keeping. Willingness to develop and train others as required.
  • Preferred Qualifications & Skills: Please note the following skills are not necessary, just preferred, if you do not have them, please still apply:
  • PhD in biological science or a relevant scientific field (e.g., immunology, molecular biology, cancer biology, neurobiology, genomics).
  • Experience working in a GCP setting.
  • A good understanding of the drug development process from previous experience working in a biopharmaceutical environment.
  • Experienced in workflows to analyze high-plex biological data sets.
  • Experience generating high quality data to support clinical studies by various spatial and single cell platforms.

    The person will perform routine histological and cutting-edge spatial-omic and single cell experiments on clinical trial patient biopsies to generate quantitative analytical data.
