Full Job Description

We are looking for a Principal Security Architect who can provide architectural guidance and planning to guide the secure delivery and management of the businesses' s systems and services. You will develop, manage, and socialise the security architecture to ensure that our systems and networks are delivered in a secure and assured manner. This is a highly collaborative position, and you will be deeply involved in our products, networks and business. We will expect you to bring the same quality, innovation, and creativity to security as we bring to our products.,

  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of our technology, networks, IT Systems, and business processes.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of security standards, technologies, vendors, and architectural approaches.
  • Understand the regulatory and standards-driven requirements for our security practices, processes, functions and technologies.
  • Research, plan and design security architectures. Work with other teams (IT, Systems Engineering, Networks) to socialise security architectures and ensure that these are included in design and deployment of our systems, networks, and software.
  • Design and manage the deployment of security systems, including technology and processes.
  • Develop and maintain security reporting metrics and tools.
  • Mentor and guide both the security team and wider team members to cultivate a culture of security, security awareness, good security practices, and technical skills.
  • Respond to security incidents, leading or assisting in initial response, recovery, remediation and lessons-learned as necessary.

    Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teaching skills.
  • Able and willing to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • 10+ years' experience working in information/cyber security and risk with 5+ years working in an architectural role.
  • Relevant industry qualification (CISSP, CISM, GSEC etc).
  • A strong working knowledge of current cyber risks, security implementations, and systems and network security.
  • Familiarity with modern approaches to security such as DevSecOps, Zero Trust, and Secure By Design.
  • Experience with telecommunications networks would be advantageous but is not a pre-requisite
