  • Some experience of live news transmission systems will be an advantage - although you will be trained on our system as part of the placement.

  • As a Principal Technical Operator you may be expected to take on extra responsibilities such as planning technical facilities to deliver the producer's vision.

  • You should have an aptitude and willingness to develop your own skills and learn new ones.

The BBC is committed to redeploying employees seeking suitable alternative employment within the BBC for different reasons and they will be given priority consideration ahead of other applicants.
