Just let us know your preferred working pattern on your application. Let us introduce the role Responsibilities will include ensuring best business practices are in place. You will act as a subject matter expert for the TE&T(D) and 3TC functions. Lead the development of new channels of learning and resources with the aim to improve the time to competency targets to enable our staff to complete our mission, whilst also developing talent, improving retention through engagement and development opportunities. Ideal Candidates will have the following skills, experience, and behaviours:
- Lead, coach and develop Training Team for a Centre of Expertise, providing expert leadership and insights in training and development.
- Manage a portfolio of people development projects, contributing to the development and implementation of strategic people and time to competence plans.
- Understand function requirements in order to lead the planning and design of delivery units' strategy and associated delivery work, partnering with HR Leads, Centres of Expertise (CoEs) and colleagues in Operations.
- Lead complex projects on behalf of the TE&T(D) function, identifying business demand and planning resource allocation.
- Provide metrics that demonstrate the impact of accelerating the building of competence and capability.
- Ensure that all solutions are benchmarked against external best practice aligned to business strategy.
- Identify opportunities to "make or buy" solutions to deliver excellence to the business, based on resource availability.
- Maintain and promote high personal standards in environment, safety, health, security, and quality and be a great team player.
- Provide expert leadership on a wide range of development and strategic HR matters focusing specifically in your CoE (Learning, training, Leadership etc.).
- Design and implement best practice strategies and practices which contribute to the organisation's ability to meet identified business outcomes.
- Consult effectively with relevant stakeholders on the development of HR projects, policy, and practices.
- Deal with escalated issues from within TE&T(D) function, and CoEs colleagues and ensure their timely resolution.
- Monitor trends and ensure service issues are identified and resolved, working proactively with others in wider organisation.
- Maintain strong business stakeholder relationships, in particular working with colleagues across Engineering, to identify opportunities for improvement, plan for and manage business change.
- Build and inspire a team (through direct and task management) and ensure that capabilities and solutions are continuously benchmarked against the external marketplace.
- Embed a coaching style across the team, enabling and driving great people leadership in the business.
- The Company may require you to fulfil any other reasonable duties aligned to your position from time to time in line with business needs.
Whilst not to be considered a check list, candidates should be able to demonstrate some of the following: · Qualification in L&D such as CIPD or equivalent. · Strong communication and influencing skills. · Strong leadership and problem-solving skills using critical thinking, creativity & curiosity. · Experience of providing a resilient approach to driving change and supportive change management. · Proven experience of engaging with stakeholders at all levels, to ensure a common and holistic approach to training. · Experience of leading a L&D team, developing new channels and developing training. · Experience of digital learning and content design would be beneficial. · To be a team player and excellent collaborator. · Coaching and Mentoring experience. - 9-day working fortnight - meaning you get every other Friday off work.
