Full Job Description

This is a senior Analyst role and will involve researching and conducting due diligence across global market listed Real Estate and other Real Asset organisations to assess whether they meet stringent Equity investment criteria. The purpose of the role is to manage and generate performance in the Listed Real Asset strategies where the role holder will contribute to accomplishing risk adjusted investment targets by providing bottom-up stock recommendations, top-down research and robust challenge to stock ideas. You will Integrate our ESG principles into the investment process, ensuring the process is credible and meet client and industry expectations.,

  • Provide investment idea generation, fundamental company analysis and portfolio construction input aligned with the Listed Real Asset strategies.

  • Ensure that all stock recommendations are supported by detailed investment analysis and that all portfolios are managed appropriately for their risk/return objectives.

  • Actively engage and assess that HSBC's ESG considerations are integrated in the investment approach, leveraging our proprietary data, other third-party data, stock research, active engagement and our ESG governance frameworks.

  • Create collaborative working relationships within Alternatives, the broader AM business and the Global Private Banking business.

  • Ensure all activities conform to external regulatory and internal policy requirements.

    To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

  • Possess the appropriate level of experience working in the corporate real estate / assets sector in a buy or sell side role.

  • Provide evidence of a successful career an Analytics / Research led role into the Investment Banking environment.

  • Possess very strong interpersonal skills that engenders a 'Trusted Advisor' status within a varied stakeholder group.

  • Demonstrate strong commercial acumen with the ability to analyse, interpret and distil complex and varied data into easily digestible content.

  • Be a strong team player with the ability to work across multiple geographic regions and have awareness of cultural influences. Knowledge of the Asian region is desirable.

  • Experience of working to tight deadlines and being able to effectively manage conflicting priorities.

  • Having a professional certification as a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), or similar qualification, such as a CPA would be beneficial.
