Full Job Description

This post provides a clinical and leadership role to our specialist health cluster. The post holder will be expected to have oversight for the psychological care being provided to a range of our specialist medical teams who have embedded psychological provision including HIV, gastroenterology, respiratory, diabetes, complications of excess weight and infectious diseases. The post holder themselves will provide direct clinical care into our HIV service.
As part of the post, there will be scope to contribute to research and policy and to innovate with regards to service development and delivery.
The Paediatric Psychological Therapies Team is a large, friendly and expanding service. We consist of clinical psychologists, mental health practitioners, assistant psychologists, trainees and administrators. Our service provides psychological support to both inpatient and outpatients, covering a wide range of specialties.

To ensure high standards of psychological care are being offered across the cluster. To ensure ongoing systematic review and evaluation of these services
To provide clinical supervision and line management for more junior psychologists who work into these teams
To provide a highly specialist psychological assessment, formulation and intervention to CYP and their families who need it across these services.
To provide direct clinical care to CYP under the HIV service.
