Full Job Description
The successful candidate will join the well-established and respected Specialist Speech and Language Therapy Service within Nottinghamshire Healthcare Foundation Trust, working specifically within the inpatient AMH service across the Sherwood Oaks and Highbury hospital sites.
The role will provide clinical and operational leadership to a small tam of SLTs offering Communication and Dysphagia pathways in the 2 inpatient hospitals.
You will be well supported by colleagues, with opportunities for peer support. You will enjoy close links with our team and our SLT colleagues within the East Midlands, and benefit from excellent levels of support, supervision, IT and CPD opportunities., The post holder will provide clinical and operational leadership to a small SLT team, supporting them to deliver timely, safe, quality care to a complex mental health population residing in inpatient wards. This role will ensure the team is supported and well lead whilst their current clinical lead is on maternity leave., + To deliver professional supervision, reflective practice and guidance to the inpatient AMH workforce (both the SLT staff and wider workforce)
+ To provide second opinions and complex case consultations to referrals on the comm. pathway (as required and appropriate)
+ To represent the profession and forums as required and appropriate - including risk and quality meetings etc
+ To provide clinical and operational leadership to the SLT workforce.
+ To liaise with the AHP lead - informing workforce planning, exec team feedback, business plans etc
+ To monitor the SLT teams performance in terms of compliance with Trust standards, contact figures, quality care, complaint and complement monitoring etc
