Full Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Private Client Legal Secretary to provide comprehensive support to our private client solicitors. The ideal candidate will have strong administrative skills and a solid understanding of private client matters, including wills, probate, trusts, and estate planning.,

  • Provide secretarial and administrative support to solicitors in the Private Client department, including managing diaries, scheduling appointments, and organizing meetings.
  • Draft and prepare legal documents, correspondence, and reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with firm standards.
  • Maintain and manage client files, ensuring all documentation is organized, up-to-date, and compliant with regulatory requirements.
  • Liaise with clients, beneficiaries, and third parties, providing exceptional customer service and addressing inquiries as necessary.
  • Conduct legal research and assist in the preparation of case materials for meetings and court appearances.
  • Process invoices and assist with billing, ensuring timely and accurate financial records.
  • Support the team in maintaining a high level of confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions.

    Experience: Previous experience as a legal secretary, ideally within a Private Client department.
  • Knowledge: Understanding of private client matters, including wills, probate, trusts, and estate planning.
  • Skills: Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a client-focused approach.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of work.
  • IT Skills: Proficiency in using case management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
