Private Client Tax Assistant Manager

Our rapidly growing Private Client Team manage funds, businesses and trusts of individuals, families and entrepreneurs. Alongside solving a constantly evolving range of technical challenges, working in this team means building strong relationships with individuals so you can become their trusted advisor and oversee their tax affairs in line with what they want to achieve as an individual or business.

You'll be someone who:

• Is educated to degree level, and/or CTA and/or ACA qualified or equivalent


• Can demonstrate experience of successfully managing/supporting a manager in looking after a substantial client portfolio


• Guides and supervises less experienced colleagues.


• Supports, trains, mentors and advises others in own area.


• Takes personal responsibility for own decisions and actions and those of others.


• Is involved in projects of varying scale or complexity


As part of your role you will be involved in:

• Looking after a portfolio of clients including control of WIP and billing


• Advise on a range of tax matters, including succession planning and restructuring projects, as well as preparation and review of complex UK tax computations and returns


• Ensure that the firm's quality control procedures are adhered to


• Identify risk and technical matters, as well as business development opportunities, to the Partner, whilst exercising judgement within agreed parameters.


• Develop and maintain relationships with clients as appropriate to ensure the firm has the confidence of the client
