Full Job Description

Key aspects of the role include :

  • Manage a portfolio of high net worth personal, trust and estate clients in relation to their UK tax reporting requirements, as well as review and sign off tax comps and returns and any relevant reporting requirements.

  • Budget and plan all tax compliance work for clients in the portfolio and be responsible for the timely delivery of such work and for the recoverability and billing on such jobs.

  • Provide technical assistance to queries received from other Buzzacott teams as well as a technical and quality review of relevant Private Client team's output..

  • Carry out and assist with UK tax planning, including tax payment forecasting and ad-hoc projects.

  • Deal with client queries and identify potential issues, all whilst ensuring other non-private client tax implications are considered.

  • Proactively market the Firm's Private Client function and expertise, both internally and externally, through the production of technical updates, presentation at internal team meetings and external seminars and training courses, also ensuring existing networks are maintained whilst developing new ones.

  • Provide input into Buzzacott's marketing publications and events as required.

  • Recognise and act upon opportunities for cross selling of services and adding value and identify opportunities for selling consultancy services to compliance clients.

  • Give regular and constructive feedback to Private Client Team members in order to contribute to their personal and professional development.

  • Along with providing technical support, you will be expected to mentor and coach Private Client Team members, to ensure their professional and technical development.

    CTA qualified.

  • Have full knowledge of UK tax matters relating to private clients and professional practices.

  • Excellent networking capability and keen interest in developing junior team members' networking skills.

  • Experienced in advising HNW and UHNW individuals.

  • Able to recognise cross selling opportuntiies.

  • Willing and able to train other team members and develop them professionally and technically.
