Full Job Description

The scope of this role is to support routine and non-routine testing activities supporting process development team. More specifically, the services shall be aligned with but not limited to.

  • Support the experimental preparation for a range of cell culture purification and assay determinations with a high level of complexity. For example, HPLC (affinity / SEC), GXII, CE-SDS, Glycan (UPLC/ MS), iCE3 Elisa as well as qPCR. Where deemed competent perform these activities independently.
  • The purpose of the Process Analytics Technician is to support preparation for, and perform a variety of routine and non-routine testing to detect processing, manufacturing defects as required in support of the Process Development team.
  • Support the analysis of data and interpretation of results including troubleshooting and investigative atypical results as required. As per skill set, raising complex issues to more experienced colleagues.
  • Involvement in data review assuring compliance of data in line with experiences.
  • Raise and complete regulatory records as required and prepare GMP documentation, where deemed competent.
  • Conduct laboratory housekeeping and performing instrument maintenance and reagent / consumable stock checks.
  • Assist in the preparation and review and revision of area documentation e.g. SOP's, Reports, Protocols.
  • To ensure that all documentation is carried out on time, is accurate and legible and conforms to the relevant quality standards.
  • To participate in the preparation of reports and other documentation as required by Group Leader or Client.
  • Attend regular client/Eurofins team meetings. Engage in these meetings, gaining learning and understanding of the wider communities.
  • Ensure that the customer gets the best possible service by ensuring 100% ethical work standards.
  • To learn and be aware of the customer's requirements and strive to meet or exceed those requirements keeping in mind the customer process end points.
  • To learn to deal with customer queries and contact designated personnel, with appropriate support from Group Leader, with any relevant information or issues relating to results or the service in general.
  • To become fully familiar with and keep up to date with any technological development in their area, ensuring their training is complete and adjusting their work as required with approval from the Group Leader.

    Up to 1 years' relevant experience in a laboratory environment.
  • Foundational knowledge in a range of relevant analytical methods, including HPLC (affinity / SEC), GXII, CE-SDS, Glycan (UPLC/ MS), iCE3 Elisa and PCR ideally associated with pharmaceutical drug substances.
  • Demonstrated experience of working in a research environment working in line with regulatory and GMP processes.
  • Basic Knowledge of Elisa and aseptic techniques with familiarity with 96 plate format.
  • Building experience in conducting purification techniques.
  • A rigorous approach to detail minimising errors and driving right first time.
  • Ability to quickly learn new processes. Working towards providing suggestions proactively for new ways to improve existing processes with a view to reduce the cost of goods, minimise waste and improve yield and product quality.
