Full Job Description

Integral to the design and implementation of new processes and systems across multiple of service areas, you will collect, analyse, and present data with a consultative approach. The solutions you create and embed in partnership with services, will not only contribute to our modernisation journey but our broader transformation objectives around digital change and financial sustainability.
Services will play an integral role in your success, therefore, active listening, attention to detail and ultimately forming a partnership will be the foundations of your work. The ability to build and maintain effective relationships through strong communication will key at each phase, creating compelling user stories that will bring the change to life.
You will also need to work closely with members of the change programme team, to ensure alignment with programme objectives and corporate vision.
Expect to need to navigate a complex landscape and actively manage a variety of tasks, using your experience in process analysis, service design and data management - surrounded by a team of likeminded and future focused individuals.

Proven track record of successfully collecting, analysing, and presenting data to drive solutions within a project and programme setting, ideally in an environment that is going through significant modernisation.
- Advanced process analysis skills
- Ability to turn high volumes of data into simplified plans and ways forward that non-technical stakeholders will understand
- Pragmatism and objectivity - enabling you to solve problems with ease.
- Resilience, flexibility, and adaptability
- Desire to drive change and passion to make a difference.
- Local Government / Public sector experience is desirable but not essential.

Just imagine...
Imagine being able to make a significant, lasting difference and drive real change that will enable future generations to thrive. The central Change Programme Team here at Thurrock Council is evolving and offers an opportunity to do just that. We are now looking for a select group of dynamic and driven individuals who can help us achieve our ambitious objectives.
We have a herculean yet achievable task ahead. It will be no easy feat to embed innovative technology, modernise processes and change behaviours and mindsets, however, we have started that journey and are confident that with the right team and the right skills, we can make this happen. The truth is, we must make this happen, and you will be joining us at the most critical point in the journey yet.
An opportunity to learn how to bring a Council out of intervention, you will play an integral role in facilitating and guiding the council on its journey to modernisation and financial sustainability - whilst transforming ways of working with our internal staff, elected members, residents, and leadership.
On the other side of the change, as we leave intervention, expect career defining moments and a sense of pride that the Borough is not only fit for purpose but is ready to lead the way forward.

This is a rare and exciting opportunity in an organisation that is committed to delivering better services for its residents, communities, and staff. You will be part of a supportive and dynamic team and have access to a range of benefits:
- Generous annual leave entitlement - 25 days rising to 30 after 5 years' service.
- career average pension scheme
- relocation packages
- interest-free loans for green travel such as bikes or public transport season tickets
- salary sacrifice schemes such as childcare vouchers and cycle to work schemes
- maternity, paternity, adoption and shared parental leave above the statutory minimum
- employee assistance programme to provide support to employees both at and outside of work
- flexible working to help balance work and personal life including job sharing, part-time working and home working
- buying additional annual leave
- career break scheme for up to 2 years
- wide range of courses to support employee development
- discounted rates for national restaurants, retailers, attractions and experience days
- discounts with local suppliers including cycle, beauty and fashion stores, restaurants, estate agents and driving schools
- 24-hour health advice and support
We also offer a hybrid working set-up, our office is just a 2-minute walk from the train station with rapid links in and out of Central London.
A Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) Check is not required for this role.
