Full Job Description
- Ensure that test and evaluation processes are carried out safely by identifying and understanding process risks and implementing the necessary controls to ensure process risks are As Low As Reasonably Practicable (ALARP)
- Manage the Basis of Safety for processes at our Test and Evaluation sites
- Assume Process Technical Authority (PTA) appointment as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for test and evaluation processes in support of the Basis of Safety
- To produce clear and concise written process control documents i.e. Process Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (PFMEA), Process Control Plans, (PCP), Process Flow Diagrams (PFD) and work instructions for test and evaluation processes
- Plan and design methods to improve efficiency and product quality by utilizing Continuous Improvement (CI) tools and working as a member of a cross functional team
- Interrogate plant/equipment and product technical specifications and drawings. Work to improve equipment availability in collaboration with Facilities department
- Liaise with Product & Process Engineering to develop and certify process control trilogy
- Produce technical specifications for new/replacement equipment, and support the trials and commissioning on process and test equipment
- Initiate and manage Engineering Change Control
Qualification(s) in an engineering discipline (Science or Engineering degree, HNC, HND) or time served in an Engineering discipline - Possession of an IOSH Managing Safely certificate in Occupational Health and Safety
- Experience within a test and evaluation environment of a similarly highly controlled nature (aerospace, automotive, nuclear, medical devices, etc.)
- Ability to produce clear and concise written/visual instructions Desirable:
- Operate within a multi-functional team and manage individual workloads and priorities
- Six Sigma Green Belt qualification with a desire to achieve Black Belt
