Full Job Description

  • Using continuous improvement (CI) techniques and tools to improve safety, quality, OEE and production outputs
  • Identify and lead CI projects to support waste reduction and improved efficiency, utilising Lean tools and techniques
  • Drive CAPEX projects associated with IDT are of control
  • Contributing to the safety of employees working within Operations; ensure delegation and timely completion of investigations and any related actions. Responsibility to lead, develop and motivate staff members
  • To monitor and analyse the quality data, then focus on reduction of scrap and implementation of quality improvement projects. Lead the data collection, analysis and downtime reduction within areas of responsibility
  • To support the development and establishment of efficient manufacturing processes within your areas of responsibility

    Engineering background with HND/HNC or degree level qualification in a relevant discipline
  • CI qualification e.g. green belt sigma, or demonstrated experience of implementing Lean Tools and techniques
  • Demonstrable experience of delivering CI projects
  • Desirable:
  • Experience in high volume manufacturing
  • Project management and CAPEX experience
  • IOSH and/or NEBOSH qualified in Managing Safety (or willing to work towards)

    As a Process Improvement Lead you will be responsible for driving the improvements required against the day to day safe and efficient operation of the manufacturing function to achieve key objectives and performance indicators. To drive manufacturing function continuous improvement culture and mind-set leading to improved efficiencies and waste reductions. To lead future CAPEX spend where needed alongside the drive for skills alignment as new technologies are introduced.
