  • Main role - Process laboratory technician, working as part of a small team providing 24/7 365, testing of paper products, raw materials and water streams used in the process, for a modern brown paper mill.

    Qualification - NVQ level 3 in Applied Sciences or relevant

    Laboratory experience - would be a distinct advantage.

    Job Type: Temporary/ fixed term, 12 month contact (with potential opportunity to extend to full-time, based on company requirements).

    Starting salary: £12.92 per hour + annualized incentive programme, (once trained salary increases to £14.24 per hour, full comprehensive training is provided).

    Hours of work -
  • 12-hour continental shift pattern, 2 days, and, 2 nights per week, plus on-call requirements (Minimum 5 x 14 day holiday relief periods included per annum - explained in more detail at the interview stage).

  • On occasions there is a requirement for overtime or extra shift work - Therefore, persons applying would need to be available and flexible with this (This can be discussed further at the interview stage).
