Full Job Description

The Schroders Accounting Control Process Management department is responsible for the validation of data held on the Aladdin Accounting Book of Record for onward generation of client valuation reporting and performance calculation.

We are looking for someone to join our Accounting & Control team who are responsible for; The timely management and clearance of Quality Control checks that are generated as part of the data validation process, generation of valuation reporting as well as being responsible for the resolution of any queries arising from Accounting Process Management activities

In addition, the role requires communication with upstream operational teams to ensure timely, accurate and complete information is received.

Continuous process improvement is an important part of the role and enhancements to the operating model should be actively looked for.

You'll be based at our Schroders Campus near Horsham in West Sussex. It's home to our EMEA Operations and Technology Operations hub.

What you'll do

  • Manage quality control checks on the Aladdin Accounting platform using Aladdin dashboards.

  • Produce periodic valuation reporting, within agreed client deadlines.

  • Ensure timely resolution of queries from Accounting Process Management activities.

  • Adherence to Business Controls and compliance training.

  • Able to escalate issues when service standards are not met.

  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal/external clients and suppliers and liaise with other operational areas and external parties.

  • Use initiative to develop effective solutions for enhancing BAU processes.

    You will have at least 2 years of relevant experience working within a financial operations function.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Problem-solving skills with an attention to detail.

  • Ability to prioritise work independently.

  • Strong PC skills, including MS Excel and MS Word.

  • Strong analytical skills and awareness of operational risk.

  • Effective time management and task prioritisation.

  • Open to feedback and receptive to change.

  • Excellent teamwork, strong communication skills and able to build relationships with global internal and external parties.

  • Adaptability to change and advocacy for innovation within the team.
