Procurement Administrator

Are you looking to kickstart your career in Procurement? We have a new opportunity for a Procurement Administrator to join our
brilliant Procurement team!, The purpose of this role is to support the procurement manager in the development of sourcing materials and suppliers on agreed
categories, improving company profitability and working capital.

Your Duties Will Include:

• Support the sourcing implementation and introduction of new suppliers, either in packaging or ingredients teams.


• Meet specification and business needs of allocated categories through quality, innovation, service, cost and supply needs.


• Support with risk assessments of the supply base and suggest mitigation actions to be put in place.


• Help deploy and implement best practice Procurement processes and techniques learnt


• Seek commercial/competitive advantage throughout the company through the negotiation of best value.


• Identify new raw materials required to meet external customer needs driven by NPD briefs.


• Ensure materials sourced are from an approved supplier, costed correctly and meet internal and external requirements.


• Encourage innovation and food values from supplier meetings or presentations

• Looking to start or continue career within procurement


• Experience in delivering or supporting projects to completion.


• Basic understanding and knowledge of contract law and processes.


• Understand the importance of strategic sourcing and category management (desirable)


• Understand how to manage supplier relationship management (desirable)



• Previous experience of working in a food manufacturing environment (desirable)


• Qualification such as CIPS (desirable).
