Full Job Description
Our Procurement team are now looking for a dedicated Procurement Category Manager to join them and support their strategic initiatives. About the Role In this role you will be responsible for overseeing multi-million-pound indirect category spends, working closely with stakeholders and key suppliers to ensure maximum value, quality, and compliance. This role focuses on strategic category management, delivering cost improvements, and fostering robust supplier relationships. Other responsibilities will include:
- Developing and implementing strategic category management plans.
- Identifying and delivering cost-saving opportunities through supplier negotiation and value engineering.
- Managing the sourcing lifecycle, including RFPs, eAuctions, and supplier contracts.
- Building and maintaining strong stakeholder and supplier relationships.
- Ensuring compliance with procurement policies and procedures.
- Lead change management initiatives and supplier performance evaluations.
- Deliver savings targets for both CAPEX and OPEX categories.
You will be a results-driven professional with a strong background in procurement, ideally within construction or FFE categories. You'll also have proven expertise in managing the full procurement lifecycle, including leading complex negotiations and delivering strategic outcomes. Familiarity with category management processes and supplier relationship management tools is essential, along with excellent communication, analytical, and e-procurement skills. You will also: - Demonstrated ability to lead and develop cross-functional project teams.
- MCIPS qualification or progress towards it is advantageous.
- A proactive attitude
- Excellent time-management skills.
- The ability to adapt to changing priorities.
