What you'll be doing

You will be involved in sourcing 'First of a Kind' (FOAK) Digital Technology. Developing and implementing the Supply Chain Strategy for the Nuclear New Build, aligning with the overall business strategy.

You will negotiate and secure contract agreements that provide value for the business. You will also leverage group procurement contracts where practical.

You'll be responsible for a portfolio of contracts which involves managing and maintaining the contracts database, updating status', licence renewals and spend. You'll also be responsible for the renewal of low value and low risk contracts. Manage exceptions proactively, implementing and following up on mitigating actions. Mitigate risks through effective contracts and professional relationships with key suppliers and contractors.

You will manage the licence renewals process, working collaboratively with internal teams to ensure renewals are reviewed and renewed before expiry. You'll also own several contracts and manage those supplier relationships on behalf of the business.

As the Procurements & Contracts Specialist, you'll take on reporting responsibilities including, providing updates on task order, purchase order and payment status and generating supply chain spend data. You'll generate ad hoc reports as requested by your business unit and you'll provide analysis on these reports to share with the business.

You'll provide tender administration support to the Procurements Lead on major procurements and you'll assist in collating questions and answers logs, managing comms and organising tender meetings.

You'll conduct all supply chain activities ethically and in compliance with supply chain governance, ensuring suppliers align with EDF's and UK Government ambitions for HBANZ (Helping Britain Attain Net Zero) and sustainability goals. Ensure third-party suppliers and contractors align with our health, safety, environment, and quality standards. Generate and record savings through effective supply chain management, ensuring timely delivery of goods and services at the required quality and agreed costs.

You'll work closely with Nuclear New Build commercial teams, adhering to procurement processes and approvals.

Stakeholder management is your forte, where your advice is valued at all levels. You bring a wealth of experience in awarding and developing contracts and strategic procurement for complex, high-value projects.

You'll have a good understanding of contract terms and conditions, contract risks and a basic understanding of procurement.

You'll bring strong analytical skills, keen attention to detail, and experience with procurement management systems, allowing you to report effectively and efficiently.
