Full Job Description

Can you juggle? Metaphorically speaking we mean (but if you have the skill to juggle in real life then we applaud you for that too!). Are you organised? Do you get a kick out of seeing processes really do their job? The Procurement team is set to evolve the services it provides across the Aster Group and will need your help to do so! This will be an interesting and varied role, where you'll be supporting the day-to-day activities in the Procurement team, alongside being a key point of contact within the business for procurement queries. You'll complete a range of tasks within the team including managing the groupwide contracts register, maintaining contract spend records, analysing information, and helping to develop our ways of working for the future. You'll support our partners to manage the procurement technology and will create user guides to support the usage of the systems across the organisation. You'll also train some users on how to use our system supporting our leaders across the Group to really own their procurement activity from the outset.,

  • Flexible working - whilst some roles need to be carried out in a specific place at a specific time, where possible we encourage our colleagues to work to their own schedule at a location that suits them, their team and our business' needs
  • A focus on colleague wellbeing - workshops, an employee assistance programme offering counselling and support, mental health training and a health cash plan
  • We invest in colleagues' careers and development through our leader and colleague development frameworks
  • Defined Contribution Pension and attached life assurance
  • Volunteering hours available to all colleagues to enable them to give back
  • Savings at cinemas, gyms, holidays, days out, various shops and eateries and lots more
  • Enhanced leave
  • We celebrate colleagues who go above and beyond with a range of personalised recognition initiatives, and monthly and annual awards

You will already have strong administration/coordinator experience, having worked collaboratively with internal/external customers. You will be keen to use your people skills to build relationships to support the role.
  • You will be a solution focussed individual, able to use your initiative and 'think on your feet'. You'll be great with a process, understanding how to manage them and how to look for process improvements. Your attention to detail will be one of your strengths, you'll be very organised and managing your time will not be a challenge for you. Previous experience of procurement operations and systems would be desirable, as a minimum you will need to be competent in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint). The role benefits from flexible working, and we encourage you to work where is best for you. Predominantly, the team work from home and come together for team meetings across the operating areas as and when so you'll need to be able to travel as the business requires.

Aster is not a sponsorship organisation and all candidates will be required to verify their right to work in the UK prior to commencement of employment with the Aster Group & it's subsidiary brands.
