Full Job Description

To provide operational leadership and management of the distribution services provided from the Pharmacy Stores at the Royal Derby Hospital (RDH) and the UHDB Procurement and invoice services to ensure a professional, courteous, safe and effective service is provided to service users. To be the 'Deputy Responsible Person' (RP) on the MHRA Wholesale Distribution Authorisation held by RDH Pharmacy Stores To ensure services are delivered to accepted local and national standards, adhering to current and future legal requirements of the MHRA, professional guidelines, ethical codes of practice and Good Distribution practice (GDP) To assist the Principal Pharmacy Technician in the strategic management and operational development of the distribution, procurement and invoice services. To deputise for the Principal Technician when needed

Are you an experienced Registered Pharmacy Technician looking to move to a senior leadership post and further develop your professional leadership and management skills? We are looking for a highly capable, enthusiastic and motivated Pharmacy Technician with extensive experience of hospital pharmacy to join our Pharmacy Team as the Procurement and Distribution Services Manager. The post holder will work closely with the Principal Pharmacy Technician to contribute to the strategic management and operational development of the distribution, procurement and invoice services. This post would ideally suit those with a background in pharmacy procurement, with good communication skills and initiative and the ability to work accurately whilst meeting deadlines. Relevant experience is essential, including the ability to perform accurate data analysis and reporting. A good knowledge of IT is desirable.
