Full Job Description

  • Support Procurement Processes: Assist in the review, analysis, and re-engineering of procurement processes to ensure efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and alignment with organisational goals.
  • Vendor Management: Collaborate with the procurement team to manage supplier relationships, including maintaining accurate records, tracking performance, and ensuring timely delivery of goods and services.
  • Data Analysis: Analyse procurement data to identify trends, opportunities for cost savings, and areas for improvement. Assist in preparing reports and presentations for the procurement team and senior management.
  • Purchase Order Management: Support the creation, processing, and monitoring of purchase orders, ensuring compliance with company policies and procurement best practices.
  • Contract Support: Assist in the review and administration of procurement contracts, ensuring that all terms and conditions are met and that contracts are stored and managed effectively.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with various departments, including finance, operations, and legal, to ensure that procurement activities align with the overall business strategy.

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Procurement Intern to support our procurement processes and assist in optimising our supply chain operations., Effective Communication: Strong ability to communicate and engage with internal stakeholders and external suppliers, both orally and in writing.
  • Analytical Skills: Highly numerate with the ability to interpret and analyse procurement data to support decision-making.
  • Attention to Detail: Demonstrate strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Technical Aptitude: Comfortable using procurement and data management software, with the ability to quickly learn new systems and tools.
  • Proactive and Efficient: Respond promptly to requests, demonstrating a proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
  • Collaboration: Strong team player with excellent collaboration skills, able to work effectively in a cross-functional environment.
