Full Job Description

A procurement business partner is a facilitator and collaborator aligning internal stakeholders and suppliers with the overall business or site strategy. The Procurement Manager Business Partnering is responsible for indicating growth, efficiency, risk mitigation, cost savings, operational diversity, and innovation through strategic supplier management. This position is located in our manufacturing site in Skelmersdale (UK).,

  • Act as Procurement first point of contact for the business on local level and manage relationships with internal stakeholders.
  • Make sure that all the procurement activities are integrated in the site(s) plan(s).
  • Liaise with Global Category Managers and the assigned Buyer for respective initiatives.
  • Represent Global Procurement on local level in audits and other site visits.
  • Ensure local stakeholder satisfaction, execute respective action plans and resolve issues.
  • Challenge demand and drive optimization by providing best practices insights.
  • Support the Procurement Organization on projects and provides local insight.
  • Leading negotiations for strategic and business critical projects after alignment with the relevant procurement functions.
  • Identify risk areas on local level, liaise with Supplier Quality Management/Sustainability and other Procurement teams to develop action plans and steer the execution of mitigation actions.
  • Ensure supplier management, sustainability and CSR strategies are being integrated into the local business/site strategies.
  • Optimize internal stakeholder satisfaction and local supplier relationship by consulting the Procurement Operations team on an improvement/action plan.
  • Contribute to Procurement Excellence by providing feedback to improve system efficiency and standardization to continuously enhance Source to Pay process and insights on KPIs setting/ analytical reporting development needs.

  • Master degree with the emphasis on the areas of business, economics, finance, procurement, data or comparable professional education or equivalent within relevant field
  • Work experience in a similar role in procurement environment
  • Work independently and be comfortable in driving projects and work towards multiple stakeholders in a high-pace matrix organization
  • Experience in PowerBI or SAP Analytics Cloud
  • Process and business understanding in procurement environment as well as experience in SAP Ariba/SAP R3/S4HANA is an advantage
  • Strong communicator with high sense of collaboration
  • Ability to create and maintain relationships with colleagues from all levels of the organization
  • Business fluent in English language
