Procurement Officer

The Procurement Officer will be responsible for analysing spend data to identify cost savings and efficiencies across all Rentokil Initial businesses, ensuring key suppliers are managed under contracts. You will be responsible for supporting the Waste and Procurement Manager on projects and activities as and when they arise. You will also provide day to day supplier management on key suppliers and drive the businesses objectives on both sustainability and ethical procurement.,

• Deliver cost savings
• Provide day to day supplier management on key suppliers
• Drive sustainable and ethical procurement strategies
• Run tenders and informal market pricing benchmarking where appropriate
• Manage internal processes related to data gathering
• Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers
• Provide support where needed on the management of the waste category
  
  1 year minimum previous procurement experience
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
• Strong analytical skills
• Problem solving skills
• Intermediate/Advanced Excel skills
• Confidence and the ability to handle difficult conversations
• Strong people skills, with the ability to negotiate and build rapport and communicate with people at all levels
Desirable;
• Ability to work well within a team but happy working independently
• Shows initiative and strives to succeed
• Previous experience with stakeholder management at senior management level
