We're seeking a Procurement Officer (8m FTC) to join our dynamic and supportive team at University of Greenwichand work across our stunning Greenwich, Avery Hill, and Medway campuses.In this role, you'll play a key part in ensuring best value, implementing procurement best practices, and enhancing our trading capabilities. Working closely with the Head of Contacts and Compliance, procurement and supply chain team, and supply partners, you'll have the opportunity to build strong relationships, drive value, and contribute to meaningful improvements in our processes. This is an excellent opportunity for a junior procurement professional eager to advance their career. Ideal candidates may have a background in Facilities Management (FM) or administrative experience and are ready to bring their skills to the forefront and make a meaningful impact in the procurement field.   • Ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
  • Support the Head of Contracts to negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions with suppliers to achieve cost savings.
  • Obtain competitive quotes from vendors for Facilities management activities, ensuring value for money services for Sodexo and our client.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers.
  • Ensure procurement activities comply with organisational policies and legal requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and other documentation.

    Bachelor's degree in business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field / or equivalent experience
  • Proven experience in a procurement or supply chain role.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications.
  • Knowledge of procurement regulations and best practices

    £30,00 - £32,000 per annum
