Full Job Description

We are looking for a Producer to join the team and help us shape the sound of Radio 1, Radio 1 Dance, Radio 1 Anthems and 1Xtra. This is your opportunity to make creative, impactful and engaging imaging and promos heard by millions. As a Producer in our team, you'll work closely with Network Commissioners, presenters and programme teams to elevate the sound of our stations. You'll bring great creative ideas that cut through, possess expert editing skills, a good music knowledge, experience of working with high profile talent and the ability to work in a tightly-knit production team. You'll be, or have recently been, creating imaging and promos for youth brands and know what engages these audiences. Although this role will be primarily focused on our youth stations, you may also be working across our other networks in the future or as holiday cover. This role is based in London or Salford and reports to the Commissioning Executive, Station Sound.   • To develop fresh creative ideas and turn these into great audio.
  • To plan, prepare, cast, script and produce impactful trails, imaging and verbal reads.
  • To work collaboratively with the wider Station Sound team, Network Commissioners, production teams, presenters and other stakeholders.
  • To ensure your productions adhere to the BBC's guidelines and editorial policy.
  • To contribute in mentoring other team members as well as the next generation of Station Sound Producers and Assistant Producers., We don't focus simply on what we do - we also care how we do it.
