Full Job Description

We're looking for a new Product Assistant to join our team. Reporting to the Senior Product & Range Manager you'll support our product team playing an instrumental role in the timely delivery of our products for M&S. You'll look after a range of activities to ensure they are launched on time and all associated administration is complete enabling our customer and internal stakeholders to deliver the right product in their customer's baskets at the right time to maximise sales and efficiencies. Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Support product leads in all aspects of product administration associated with the product lifecycle such as:
  • + Keeping CDP's (critical date path) plans on track + Manage product briefs, requests for quotes and data requirements + Manage sample requests + Sales and ranking reports + Managing costs including sharing final costings + Sample management including lead sample approval meetings with the customer
  • Formulate and agrees CDP timings with Product Developers, attends meetings and updates tracker accordingly ensuring all administration is completed ahead of daily/weekly calls and ensuring relevant internal parties are kept updated with changes
  • Key contact for a range of stakeholders Liaising with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the right people have the right information in a timely manner to deliver the product
  • Prepare and distribute regular reports and information packs, ensuring content is accurate and continuously improved based on the audiences needs
  • Market analysis including competitor shops, products reviews, team updates and recommendations
  • Briefing in FSDU requirements to internal partners and admin tasks around this.

  • Previous experience of working in an administrative or similar support role, managing a range of activities with competing priorities and deadlines
  • Previous experience of managing data and updating systems accurately and in a timely manner
  • Experience of report writing, sharing insightful, timely updates and analysing information to continuously create improvements
  • Excellent communication skills, comfortable with a range of stakeholders, internal and externals with experience of building strong relationship to achieve common goals
  • A digital mindset, comfortable and proactive in using digital tools to create efficient processes
  • Proficient with Microsoft including Excel, Teams, Word and PowerPoint
  • A team player, attentive, proactive and a natural preference for seeing the needs of your team and flexing your support to meet diverse needs
  • High organised, exceptional attention to detail and comfortable working at pace
