Full Job Description

As a Product Manager at HyBird, you will be responsible for guiding the development and optimisation of our flagship product, Clarity. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, sales, marketing, and customer support, to ensure the product meets the needs of our clients and stays ahead of industry trends. Your goal is to drive the product strategy and roadmap to deliver exceptional value to our users.

Responsibilities

Product Strategy and Roadmap: Define and communicate the product vision and strategy. Develop and maintain the product roadmap, ensuring alignment with company goals and customer needs.

Market Research and Analysis: Conduct market research to understand customer needs, industry trends, and competitive landscape. Use insights to inform product development and positioning.

Competitive Analysis: Monitor and analyse the competitive landscape. Identify and evaluate emerging trends, competitive threats, and market opportunities. Use insights to inform product strategy and differentiation.

Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, sales, marketing, and customer support teams to deliver product features on time and within budget. Facilitate communication and collaboration across teams.

User Experience and Feedback: Gather and analyse user feedback to improve product features and functionality. Ensure the product delivers an exceptional user experience.

Enhanced UX: Prioritise UX to ensure the platform continuously improves to meet the needs of our customers. You will be performing design reviews with the designers on figma.

Project Management: Oversee the product development lifecycle, from ideation to launch. Manage project timelines, resources, and risks to ensure successful product releases.

Product Documentation: Develop and maintain comprehensive product documentation, and feature descriptions (PRDs). Be able to write PRDs that are detailed accommodating for edge case user flows. This can include user guides, release notes, and training materials. Ensure that all documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and easily accessible to users and internal teams.

Performance Metrics: Define and track key performance metrics to evaluate product success. Use data-driven insights to make informed decisions and drive continuous improvement.

Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that the product complies with all relevant industry standards, regulations, and safety requirements. Stay informed about regulatory changes and work with legal and compliance teams to implement necessary updates.

Voice of the Customer (VoC): Act as the champion for the voice of the customer within the organisation. Conduct regular customer interviews, surveys, and feedback sessions to gather insights on their needs, pain points, and experiences with the product. Use this feedback to inform product development, prioritise features, and ensure that the product roadmap aligns with customer expectations. Advocate for customer-centric decision-making across all stages of product development and marketing. Establish and maintain a continuous feedback loop to monitor customer satisfaction and drive continuous improvement.

Product Launches and Go-to-Market Strategy: Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to develop and execute go-to-market strategies, including positioning, messaging, and sales enablement materials.

Training and Support: Oversee the development and delivery of training programmes for customers and internal teams. Provide ongoing support to ensure successful product adoption and usage. Act as an escalation point for complex product-related issues.

Bug Triage and Prioritisation: Collaborating with engineering and QA teams to triage and prioritise bugs. Ensure that critical issues are addressed promptly based on customer impact and business goals. Communicate status updates and resolutions to relevant stakeholders to maintain transparency and manage expectations.

o Minimum of 5 years of experience in product management, in the industrial software sector.

o Proven track record of managing the entire product lifecycle from concept to launch.

o Experience in industrial operations, particularly in sectors such as oil and gas, utilities, chemical processing, or manufacturing.

o Familiarity with maintenance management systems (MMS) and enterprise asset management (EAM) systems.

o Experience with digital twin technology or similar systems is highly desirable.

o Experience with design and UX reviews.

Industrial Operations:

o Substantial experience in industrial operations, particularly in sectors such as oil and gas, utilities, chemical processing, or manufacturing.

o This experience is crucial to understand the complex workflows, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements that our customers face.

o Familiarity with maintenance management systems (MMS) and enterprise asset management (EAM) systems is highly desirable.

o The candidate should understand how these systems are used to track maintenance activities, manage work orders, and ensure compliance with safety standards.

· Customer Experience:

o Deep understanding of the user needs and pain points in industrial settings. The candidate should be able to empathise with the challenges faced by operators, engineers, and maintenance teams in hazardous environments.

o Extensive knowledge of inspection and maintenance workflows, including permitting, LOTO, work order management, preventative maintenance, and document management.

o Strong awareness of safety and compliance requirements in industrial operations. The candidate should understand how to design products that help reduce human factors in accidents and improve overall process safety.

Education:

o Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or a related field. An MBA or advanced degree is a plus.

Technical Skills:

o Strong understanding of software development processes and technologies.

o Experience with AI and computer vision technologies is highly desirable.

o Proficiency in 3D modeling and visualization tools is highly desirable but not necessary.

Analytical Skills:

o Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

o Ability to leverage data to make informed decisions.

o Experience with defining and tracking key performance metrics.

Communication and Leadership Skills:

o Strong verbal and written communication skills.

o Proven ability to present complex concepts to diverse audiences.

o Understanding of industry standards, regulations, and safety requirements relevant to industrial operations.

Project Management:

o Demonstrated ability to manage product development lifecycle and ensure successful product releases.

o Strong project management skills, including managing timelines, resources, and risks.

Training and Support:

o Experience in developing and delivering training programmes for customers and internal teams.

o Ability to provide ongoing support to ensure successful product adoption and usage.
