Full Job Description

The Product & Technology group at Conde Nast is looking for a Product Manager to join the Publishing Platform product team. This role is pivotal in defining the future of content sharing, rights management, and syndication between Conde Nast markets, media brands, and licensed brands. This is a CMS product role focused on collaborative workflows that touch multiple editorial teams. You will partner closely with editorial, engineering, and design to develop, maintain, and execute the digital strategy and product roadmap for Encore, Conde Nast's proprietary content syndication system. What will you be doing?

  • Collaborate with a cross-functional team of engineers, designers, user researchers, and data analysts to translate organizational objectives into tactical projects and functional requirements.
  • Support weekly agile rituals for an internal engineering team.
  • Serve as the face of the Encore product by communicating feature launches, triaging support issues, and presenting the roadmap to internal stakeholders.
  • Establish quarterly objectives and track performance against key results that map to the Content Platform's overall goals.
  • Create and manage all product and project documentation, including product support documentation for our editorial staff.
  • Create and implement all Encore training curricula including new user onboarding, new feature training, and ongoing training for editorial teams.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between the Encore team and the Product Support group-you will be in charge of the support process for Encore.
  • Partner with research and design to conduct needs assessments, competitive research, user research, and user testing.
  • Consistently represent the editorial user in all discussions with colleagues from engineering, design, SEO, and business operations.

    Experience working with engineering and design teams using agile software development.
  • Experience using Atlassian planning tools including Jira and Confluence Wiki.
  • Must be a proven relationship builder with strong verbal and written abilities who can diplomatically and effectively work across departmental and national boundaries.
  • Self-driven, motivated, and able to see projects and initiatives through to completion.
  • Experience supporting a distributed team and working across global time zones.
  • Familiarity with common digital editorial workflow concepts including content management, asset management, and rights attribution.
  • Familiarity with SEO concepts including hreflang tags, canonicals, and multi-language domains.
  • Nice to have: Ability to speak multiple languages. Encore is a global tool with users operating in 9 languages and 11 markets.
