Full Job Description

  • Collaborate with stakeholders (business sponsor, SMEs, development teams and IT departments) to ensure goals are clear and aligned to business objectives

  • Plan, prioritize, and maintain a healthy product backlog that delivers maximum value for the business while adhering to company strategy

  • Translate business and technical requirements into clear user stories for agile teams to implement

  • Facilitate backlog refinement and sprint planning in partnership with the ScrumMaster

  • Communicate with stakeholders so they understand when key features will be available

  • Keep up to date with changes reflected in internal and vendor software. Identify where new functionality could be usefully implemented and offer efficiencies in the Front Office

  • Work with data teams to ensure investment professionals are presented with accurate security master, trading, execution, commission, position and lot level data

  • Contribute to the maintenance of issue logs, meeting minutes, meeting schedules, project summaries and updates

  • Produce quality test strategies and plans and leads all aspects of system and user acceptance testing

    Must have skills

  • Possess CRD CRIMS 20r+ experience

  • Experience working with Manager Workbench, Trade Blotters, with Modelling, Portfolio Management, Compliance, Order Management, Trading and Execution Management systems including expertise with multiple modules of the Charles River Investment Management System

  • Have a working history with Traders, PM's, compliance, and operations, understanding the full lifecycle of trades.

  • Possess sensitivity to the traders / PM's time and ensure that this sensitivity is in mind for all interactions

  • Experience of the analysis process: from requirements gathering in the form of user stories, writing acceptance criteria / test cases, implementation, capturing sign offs and presenting demos to business

  • Ability to analyze high-level requirements and translate these into overall detailed system-level designs to be used for architectural design, cost / benefit analysis, and solution development

  • Understand and document Process Maps using tools such as Visio or LucidCharts

  • A good knowledge of financial products used in Asset Management including Equity and complex Derivative instruments. Have experience of implementing change across these instrument types

  • SQL proficiency sufficient to analyze data and investigate stored procedures written in Transact SQL

  • Understanding of messaging technologies used for the communication of transactional data to 3rd parties

  • Understand change delivery within the asset management sector

  • Nice to have skills
  • Fixed income and derivatives (Listed & OTC) asset class experience

  • Agile Experience

  • Experience of Flextrade EMS, Bloomberg EMSX, FXConnect

  • FIX Protocol experience

  • Knowledge of Jira and confluence

  • Ability to communicate, present, influence, reason and demonstrate the ability to articulate information technology concepts to non-technology personnel in a clear and compelling manner

  • Ability to deliver on heavy workloads and exceed high expectations while remaining focused and organized in a fast-paced environment
