In our pursuit of excellence within our technology department here at Carnival UK, we're seeking individuals who bring a wealth of technical knowledge and expertise to our Product Owner - Fleet Technology role. This opportunity based within our Fleet Technology team will be the driving the development and implementation of key products that span across both the crew and guest experience onboard our ships. These products include our current systems for managing dining, events and youth bookings as well as our new guest app launching next year. The Product Owner will be a key role in delivering a programme of continuous development, working within an agile team to ultimately enhance our guests experience and create holiday happiness.,
- Work closely with the Product Manager or Product Director, and business stakeholders to deliver a regular programme of feature releases in partnership with their agile scrum teams - including business analysts, solution architects, offshore developers and test team.
- Translate and communicate the product vision, backlog and priorities to the development team based on value
- Take ownership of agreed features and business owner relationships, writing and refining user stories for development scoping and sizing, holding regular sync meetings to keep Product teams up to date with roadmap movements and facilitate / own key agile ceremonies.
- Determine sprint goals and influence the roadmap development. Supporting the delivery of the agreed product roadmap of features; ensuring relevant subject matter experts (SMEs) are consulted at all stages to make the result fit-for-purpose, whilst ensuring optimal ROI for our Capital and Operating expenditure.
Our ideal candidates are those who possess not only the technical skills required for the role but also a passion for technology and a keen eye for detail. - Previously worked as a Product Owner within a customer centric field/product
- Professional experience working with Agile methodology
- Understanding of hospitality or travel industry products would be beneficial but not essential
- Willingness to travel to our ships occasionally, You are someone who thrives in a collaborative environment yet can work with a high degree of accuracy and accountability.
