Full Job Description

A vacancy has arisen for a Production Administration Assistant to support our busy operations team. The successful candidate will work in a production office and the role is crucial ensuring the smooth operation of the production office by providing administrative support with a varied range of tasks. The role is based in the West of Newcastle upon Tyne. You will be dealing with orders, customers, suppliers, factory floor and production office on a daily basis This position requires a proactive individual with excellent communication skills and a strong ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.   • The role is to support the production team with regards daily administrative paperwork
  • Raising purchase orders
  • Completing spreadsheets
  • Daily tracking of externally ordered items and processes
  • Accurately inputting and updating data in departmental databases and systems.
  • Acting as a liaison between the production departments and other departments, ensuring effective communication and collaboration
  • Expediting orders for customers
  • Ensuring all activities comply with industry standards, team policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Liaising with Customers and suppliers both over the phone and by e mail
  • Liaison with production staff on factory floor
  • Hours will be working 39 hours per week , overtime is available after 39 hours you

    Previous experience in a similar manufacturing/production environment is essential
  • A structured approach to work
  • Good organisation and administrative skills with the ability to prioritise to meet deadlines.
  • Good written and verbal communications skills
  • A confident telephone manner
  • Good IT skills with practical understanding of Microsoft Office, particularly excel
  • The ability to work with others and support others effectively in a team
  • To be Inquisitive
  • Be educated to GCSE level 1 in both Maths and English (or equivalent)
  • Be flexible in relation to overtime
