Production Assistant

Thin Metal Films Ltd. is a small, friendly firm and we are looking for an enthusiastic and driven person to assist our production team. Training will be given on the job.

It would suit someone that has good dexterity and an eye for detail, as the job includes handling small optical glass components, cleaning & operating coating equipment and packing of coated substrates.

Duties include: cleaning, unloading and handling and inspection of small precision optical components, cleaning and preparing these components for processing, operating and cleaning the vacuum coating equipment, packing fragile substrates for UK and overseas dispatch, ensuring our Quality Control System is adhered to, helping with stock control of manufacturing consumables and materials, maintaining job and customer records, keeping our work area and equipment clean and tidy and other tasks as required for the smooth running of the business.

GCSE's in physics or maths a distinct advantage

Minimum 4 GCSE's grade 4-5 above
