Full Job Description

We are looking for two Production Chef de Parties to work as members of the kitchen brigade and support the morning dispatch of the operation. Taking active part in the production and preparation activities, following provided specifications and instructions. Participating in Rocket events and representing company values. Take responsibility for the section and support other team members in absence of the Head Chef. These two roles have different working patterns as below: 4am to 1pm 6am to 3pm, We are looking for a Chef de Partie to work as a member of the kitchen brigade and support the morning dispatch of the operation. Taking active part in the production and preparation activities, following provided specifications and instructions. Participating in Rocket events and representing company values. Take responsibility for the section and support other team members in absence of the Head Chef.,

  • To report for duty punctually, wearing the correct uniform and protective clothing and adhering to specified grooming standards.
  • To help with the daily management of Rocket events kitchen ensuring everything is prepared to the correct specifications, packed, and labelled correctly and ready to leave on time.
  • Work within the Rocket's HACCP's guidelines, following instructions provide during onboarding and training.
  • Collaborate as a team to minimise waste of any food products through considered ordering and planning.
  • Ensure that the kitchen areas are kept safe, and any dangerous or hazardous situations are reported to the manager on duty immediately.
  • To ensure that operating equipment is kept clean, respected, and is looked after at the end of each shift and report any areas of concerns.
  • Work to Rocket's high standards in all areas of Health & Safety including keeping a clean and tidy workspace, ensuring to work to best practise.
  • Continue to maintain and develop a good working relationship with all the other colleagues around you, both in the kitchen and front of house, encouraging the Rocket team spirit.
  • Assess and ensure that recipes, operating standards and relocating dishes are always adhered to, ensuring consistency, and assisting other team members in doing so.
  • Assist with producing and serving tasting at the production unit.
  • Demonstrate a clear understanding of allergens., Performing all section required tasks, ensuring that all items are correctly labelled and packaged, and sent out to jobs in a timely manner.
  • Management of scheduled timings and breaks, following company policies on shift recording.
  • Following of event sheets, allergens, and job sheets, assisting the chef in charge during events.
  • Management of stock including advanced preparation, freezer management and to ensure that levels are correct, in date and FIFO system is used.
  • Participating in events with a team of chefs, assisting to ensure quality, timings and specifications are meet.
  • HOW ARE YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES MONITORED? You will have regular catchups with your line manager, and twice-yearly appraisals.
