Full Job Description

This management position supports factories by ensuring resource readiness, including headcount, skills, equipment, and instructions for new production runs. The role involves developing and implementing safe and efficient fabrication methods that meet both customer quality expectations and internal company standards. Responsibilities include troubleshooting inefficiencies and implementing productivity improvements in fabrication processes. This is achieved through the creation and training of supporting Standard Operating Instructions.,

  • Performance Management: Manage the Plymouth Maintenance Team's performance, ensuring Planned Preventative Maintenance is conducted for all plant and machinery, and minimize disruption caused by equipment breakdowns.
  • Prototype Delivery: Oversee the delivery of prototypes, define production processes, and develop training aids (SOIs).
  • Technology Transfers: Assist in technology transfers and the setup of remote production locations.
  • Data Analysis: Analyse data points such as sales forecasts and the production schedule to ensure factory technical readiness to meet customer demand.
  • Efficiency Strategies: Create strategies to enhance efficiency, optimise process yield, and improve productivity through continuous improvement programs.
  • Process Launch Coordination: Coordinate the launch of new or revised processes, including goal setting, identifying operator training needs, and evaluating results.
  • Manufacturing Consultation: Confer with management regarding manufacturing capabilities and other considerations to facilitate production processes.
  • Tool and Equipment Management: Identify, design, develop, test, and/or source and cost-justify various tools, machinery, and equipment for recommended production methods.

    B.S. degree in a field related technical discipline
  • 3-5 years of prior experience
  • 18th Edition Electrical Qualification
  • Must be able to communicate effectively
  • Must be able to communicate and provide training for related topics, Must be able to travel.
