Production Expeditor

 

Our client, an Engineering business in the Poole area is seeking a Production Expeditor to oversee the efficient flow of production processes and ensure on-time delivery to clients. The ideal candidate will excel in communication and organisation, collaborating closely with various teams to prioritise and expedite production tasks.

 

Responsibilities for Production Expeditor

- Manage production management sheets and attend production meetings
- Enter accurate information onto run lists and capacity planning lists
- Prioritise production planning and communicate product requirements to the manufacturing engineers
- Expedite workshop activities on a routine basis and execute recovery plans when necessary
- Manage customer sales and production requirements, expediting orders from receipt until delivery
- Declare monthly projected sales to customer orders to ensure accurate planning
- Ensure on-time delivery to customers and expedite customer orders

 

Qualifications and Experience required as Production Expeditor

- Proven experience in production planning and expediting
- Excellent communication skills and ability to prioritise and manage competing demands
- Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities
- Knowledge of capacity planning and production management systems
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes and customer order management
