Full Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our Production Engineering team as a Production Engineer where you will provide technical expertise, process, production, project and process validation support to the Packaging, Distribution and Maintenance teams. You will be a key team member in the appraising, specifying and developing of packaging automated machines and distribution automated storage and retrieval systems. Other responsibilities include:

  • Conduct safety assessments, appraisals, capability studies and process validation in accordance with medical device regulatory requirements
  • Implement process improvements, including optimisation of productivity, yield and quality, in line with change control requirements
  • Typically functioning as a Change/Project Leader in the above activities
  • Timely reporting against objectives
  • Training other team members and operations staff as required

    We are looking for individuals who have a high level of numeric, literate, verbal, engineering reasoning and problem solving abilities alongside the following:
  • An engineer who is mechanically trained through an apprenticeship with an awareness/ability to carry out some basic electrical engineering
  • Demonstrable experience of leading or participating in validation activities
  • Demonstrable experience of authoring and reviewing technical documents
  • Excellent demonstrable experience of fault diagnosis and root cause analysis on automated machinery
  • Experience or knowledge of budget management
  • Experience of leading or working in project teams
  • Knowledge of laser marking, thermal printing and labelling equipment
  • Knowledge of vision systems and barcode readers
  • Experience of working in a regulated manufacturing environment
  • Proficient ability in Microsoft Office
