Full Job Description

Our creative team are responsible for creating some of CRUKs most memorable campaigns, acting as brand guardians and representing CRUK to our millions of dedicated supporters, without whom we couldn't raise the money that we do for our life saving research.

This role offers a real variety in terms of types of projects you will be involved in across a few different mediums. Ideally you will have some practical experience with cameras, lighting and sound equipment for video, photography, audio production or live events (you don't need experience in all of these.) We'd also love you to have experience with using modern video and photography editing applications. It's a busy role so you will thrive in a fast paced ever changing environment and in return you will have the opportunity to be involved in a mix of different creative projects, such as our Instagram branded promotion for our shops , Football Shirt Friday and Stand Up To Cancer.

What will I be doing?

  • Daily support for the Video Production team, enabling an efficient and streamlined workflow throughout the production cycle in a variety of active projects, including liaising with client teams, creating production plans, collecting feedback etc.

  • Practical camera, lighting and sound support with video shoots, both on-location and in-house, as well as the booking of studios, location scouting, voiceover recording etc.

  • Storage and maintenance of all production equipment, using inventory management tools to ensure that all gear is tracked and accounted for

  • Support and maintenance of AV equipment, ensuring all necessary kit is available, prepared and in good working order

  • Work closely with the AV manager to provide planning and administrative support for all events, including fundraising events on-location and in-house livestreams and broadcasts

  • Supporting our in-house photographer with setting up and planning shoots, as well as organising and archiving assets.

Practical experience with cameras, lighting and sound equipment for video, photography, audio production and live events (You don't need all of these.)

  • Experience with using modern editing applications including Adobe Premiere, After Effects, Lightroom etc.

  • Good understanding of what high quality video, photography and audio content looks and sounds like

  • Ability to work flexibly and efficiently on complex projects with tight deadlines, often with travel required

  • Strong communication skills, with an understanding of working with multiple stakeholders in a complex corporate environment

  • Experience with developing and maintaining collaborative relationships, flexing style and behaviours to work efficiently and effectively with other creative professionals in the team.

  • Our organisation values are designed to guide all that we do.

Bold: Act with ambition, courage and determination

Credible: Act with rigour and professionalism

Human: Act to have a positive impact on people

    Together: Act inclusively and collaboratively

We're looking for people who can believe in and embody these organisation values and can use them to drive forward progress against our mission to beat cancer.
