Full Job Description

Our Wind Turbine Blade Manufacturing Facility in Hull is advertising for a Production Lead to work within our Hull Blade Factory.

Responsible and accountable for effectively managing the shift leadership teams performance, providing strong governance and direction in alignment with company policies and procedures, systems, and tools. Ensuring optimal productivity, quality, and safety. This role requires strong leadership skills, a keen understanding of manufacturing processes, and the ability to drive team performance whilst fostering a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement. Ensure appropriate health, safety, and environmental measures are in place to support a robust HSE management framework and positive culture

Some of your tasks will include but not be limited to:

Responsible for delivering SQDCP (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and People) and ensuring key KPI targets are met across the operational area during the shift.
Accountable for aligning the production plan and maintaining the plan to meet the weekly output target
Ensures accurate reporting of incidents, accidents, near misses, and unsafe acts and conditions.
Assumes overall responsibility of emergency response as Duty Manager, including initial escalation and coordination in line with the site emergency response plan and crisis management documents.
Oversees and optimizes the use of resources - people, plant, and materials.
Ensures adherence to manufacturing and quality guidelines, processes, and procedures to guarantee safe delivery of high-quality products on time.
Leads and develops assigned Group Leaders & Team Leaders across assigned production area. disciplines.
Responsible for driving team performance and leading a team of managers.
Delivers clear, concise, and effective communications to the operational teams.
Executing the business strategy consistently in line with the Company mission and values.
Ensures effective objectives cascade and formal performance reviews through the leadership model within the operational area.
Promotes and maintains an open and constructive feedback culture.
Leads all investigations within the operational area.
Correct implementation of all HR related processes through regular coaching and monitoring of direct reports.
Operational standards, including but not limited to 5S, housekeeping, short interval control, and process validation.
Directs operational review meetings
Ability to work a shift pattern that includes working days, nights and weekends
