Full Job Description

You will ensure the safe and efficient operation of both our Prep & Pasta Production facilities. Inspiring, leading and developing the team to achieve optimum output to the highest quality, thereby delighting our customers and maximising sales opportunities. What you will do: Health and Safety, Food Safety and Product Quality

  • Adhere to GMP and BRCGS standards at all times.
  • Ensure that standards of health and safety, hygiene, environmental and security are maintained.
  • Participate in regular health and safety and GMP audits, actioning gaps accordingly in a timely manner.
  • Lead the team to continually monitor product quality, troubleshoot issues and implement corrective actions promptly.
  • Production Planning and Management:
  • Lead and manage all aspects of production ensuring smooth, efficient and timely processing to meet demands.
  • Understand and operate within the defined labour plan and associated budget.
  • Coordinating with purchasing and technical teams to ensure the availability of raw materials and adherence to specifications, while maintaining production flexibility.
  • Spearhead innovative projects to improve production processes, introduce new technologies, and optimise workflows, working within clear financial parameters and building capex proposals.
  • People Responsibility:
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a diverse team, ensuring clear roles, responsibilities, and a shared understanding of department goals.
  • Ensure mandatory training schedules are in place and delivered on time.
  • Provide ongoing training and professional development opportunities, ensuring the team is well-equipped to handle changes and challenges in production.

    Previous experience in food production is essential.
  • Previous management experience.
  • Degree in food science, food technology, business management, or a related field is preferred or equivalent work experience in lieu of formal education.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and quality control processes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and production management software i.e. Dynamics 365
  • Food Safety Level 3
  • IOSH and NEBOSH certified is desirable.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading change iniaiives, improving processes and adopting new technologies.
