Full Job Description

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a full time Production Operative to join a solid dose pharmaceutical manufacturing company near Burton upon Trent.

Key areas of responsibility will include:

  • To follow instructions as detailed in the Batch Manufacturing record, operating in line with company SOP's and HACCP plans and to manufacture intermediate and finished products to agree schedules.

  • To observe the highest GMP rules at all times.

  • Ensure that the recording of tasks and events on the batch manufacturing documentation is carried out both timely and accurately in accordance with GMP.

  • To perform all duties in a safe manner in compliance with the company's Health & Safety policy at all times.

  • To wear appropriate PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) at all times as detailed in the company's SOP's and individual BMR's.

  • To follow supervision/ management instructions at all times and carry out any other duties required to ensure the smooth running of the operations department.

  • To observe hygiene rules and instructions detailed in the Company's Employee Handbook

  • To maintain absolute confidentiality regarding Company processes and information.

  • Monitoring the production process and carrying out basic testing and quality checks.

  • Ensure that the recording of tasks and events on the batch manufacturing documentation is carried out both timely and accurately in accordance with GMP.


  • Other responsibilities:
  • Assist with R&D the introduction of new and modified products into full scale production.

  • Conduct other tasks, primarily of a Production or Technical support nature, as directed by Senior Management, to ensure the smooth running of the business.

  • To report any problem/mistakes immediately as they occur to supervision.

  • Ensure that the Production area is maintained to the level of cleanliness and tidiness required under GMP.

    1+ years' experience in a GMP pharmaceutical manufacturing experience facility or similar experience (Desirable)

  • Mechanically minded (Desirable)

  • Excellent organisational, interpersonal and communication skills (Essential)

  • Have a high attention to detail (Essential)

  • Good numerical/English skills (Essential)

    Double days: Mon - Thurs, 6am - 2pm / 2pm - 10pm


  • Friday, 6am - 1pm / 1pm - 8pm
