Production Operative

We are seeking enthusiastic Production Operatives to join our team and contribute to our continued success. As a Production Operative you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of the processes, maintaining quality standards and meeting production targets. Prima Cheese Limited prides itself on maintaining high standards of health and safety for all employees. Production Operatives receive full training to ensure they are provided with the skills to work inline with protocols and company and legal standards. You will learn how to effectively:

• Follow hygiene procedures and clean as you go policies.
• Understand run rates and all KPI's the business has set.
• Communicate and work as part of a team being flexible and adapting to change.
Tasks
• Opening cheese from plastic covering using safety knife.
• Cutting cheese using mechanical cheese wire cutter.
• Inspecting cheese by flipping blocks over.
• Loading cheese onto conveyor belt.
• Scraping cheese off the floor / machines as part of clean down.
• Packing bags of grated cheese into cardboard boxes.
• Stacking finished boxes of cheese onto pallets.
• Use of Electric Pallet trucks (Upon completion of training).
  
  Previous experience in a production or manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Good physical stamina, the role may involve standing, lifting or repetitive tasks.
